One day a friend of mine brought to me a cheap ghetto blaster whose CD player was acting up. It was having some trouble reading certain CD's, almost undoubtably a laser-related problem. When I took the portable CD player apart to see what the trouble might have been, I could not help but notice a tremendous similarity between the whole sled assembly on this $75 unit and my $600 Numark. Curiosity began to build in me so I asked the friend if I could buy the ghetto blaster off her. Instead, she told me I could keep it!
