Here is my Numark CD-710 'Professional' Compact Disc player. When I bought it in grade 11 it was a discounted floor model. It worked fine for about 2 months but after that both lamps behind the LCD display burnt out almost simultaneously so I sent it back on warranty for repair. EIGHT MONTHS later, the unit was returned to me with new lamps in it, and only several weeks passed again before the main drive motor stopped working. Apparantly it had been left playing (or on Pause) constantly at Axe Music where I bought it and now the motor was exhausted. Considering the time it took them to replace the faulty lamps in the display, I was not about to wait another 8 months for them to replace a drive motor. It sat, out of order, for many years in my crawlspace.
