Every cabin had an antique wood burning stove to cook meals on. Kindling, branches, and smaller logs were used as fuel to heat water, fry, or toast food, and there was even an oven for baking. One of the four rings came out in sections, like a Russian Doll with each section smaller than the others and fitting inside the one larger than it. There was a metal handle that was used for lifting the sections out if one needed to poke the fire or add more wood while it was hot. I can still hear the muffled sound of crackling wood as it popped and snapped inside the stove. A sound that usually meant that a meal was comming.
