One of the attractions for a number of years was to build sand castles and then to have Uncle Bruce and Jamie gather large buckets of water and see if the sand castles could withstand the force. Old stove chimney pipes served as reinforcements for the waterways and in many cases provided bends and turns for the water that eventually made its way out to the lake.
