This small outboard motor was the source of much joy and almost at much frustration as we tried to make a 40 year old motor we found, run like a new engine. For the most part it did quite well, and we learned a lot about the gears especially, having to make our own from a car spring. With a Squeegee mop for a throttle and a rope for a starter, it pulled many passengers all over Pine Lake. After about the third year of use, however, the cooling system started to give us problems and I don't think the motor will run again for a while.
