In this next part of my project, I had to build a cable that would allow me to connect my Commodore 1541 disk drive to a PC. My first attempt failed actually, and froze up the computer on boot. So in the interest of simplicity, I built a standard, simple, X1541 cable and ran the program (Star Commander) from DOS. This worked just fine, and I was able to transfer files and disk images to and from my 1541 using my PII-266 computer.
