The problem with Mike's truck turned out to be the pickup coil on his distributor. After replacing everything but, we realized that it had to be done and so removed the distributor, as you can see sitting on the front of the truck. It would have been a simple proceedure, replacing it if he had marked it's orientation properly. As it turned out, we lost the timing completely and had to find it entirely by guessing and testing. After much backfiring and flames, we were able to get it running again, and according to Mike, it ran better than it ever had before.
